Community comes together for Kirkby Malzeard entrance sign

Following fund raising for the Diamond Jubilee Garden in Kirkby Malzeard by Angie Lockwood and Sue Hinchliffe it was decided to spend the money on an entrance sign for the village. Support was also given from Wensleydale branch of Campaign to Protect Rural England (CPRE), Kirkby Malzeard (Yorkshire) in Bloom group and the balance for the sign was supplied through commuted sums from approved by the Kirkby Malzeard Parish Council.

The work has been carried out by Sam Heselden, lettering on Yorkshire Stone by Green’s ()


The entrance sign was unveiled by the Mayor of Cllr Mick Stanley on Wednesday 9th April along with representatives from all the funding organisations and County Cllr and Cllr Atkinson.
