31 March 2014

At around 8.20pm on Saturday 29 March 2014, a blue Toyota Avensis and a red Vauxhall Corsa collided at the road works on the A59 at Flaxby.

The collision occurred after the Toyota had to cross through the coned off divide in the road to avoid an oncoming vehicle.

The Corsa left the road and rolled down the embankment. The Toyota came to stop in the middle of the traffic cones.

The occupants of the Corsa suffered slight injuries in the incident and were taken to Harrogate District Hospital for treatment.
