Helen Nash works in Emblazon on Tower Street in Harrogate.
The shop is opposite the new development of the former bowling alley into a Travelodge.
Helen has managed to rescue a bowling ball and given it a new home, making a star attraction for the shop window.
Helen said: It was looking rather forlorn among the debris and customers felt rather sorry for it and recalled the good times they had bowling there.
I asked the site foreman if I could have it, gave it a clean and a smiley face and popped it in our window.
The kids love it.
The ball now has pride of place in the window – a story with a happy ending!
