Teenager robbed in Harrogate

Detectives are investigating after a teenager was robbed in Harrogate.

The victim, a 16-year-old school boy, was walking over the railway bridge on Stray Rein footpath heading towards Tewit Well at around 3.55pm on Monday 6 January 2014, when he was grabbed from behind by three male suspects who were in their late teens.

One of them threw him to the floor where he was punched and kicked. They searched his pockets before making off empty handed.

policeIt is believed at least two of the suspects were on bikes.

Officers are appealing to anyone who witnessed the incident to contact them with information.
