Rotary and POLIO
In 1985 Rotary began working with the World Health Authority to eradicate Polio.
It is now two years since Polio was eradicated from India.
Today the disease is endemic in only three countries: Afghanistan, Pakistan and Nigeria.
In 2012 Knaresborough Rotary Club won a prestigious award as the leading Polio fundraiser amongst Clubs in North and West Yorkshire.
The 2013 Swimarathon raised over £2,500.
