Man receives suspected stab wounds to his back and hand in Harrogate incident

Detectives are investigating after two men were injured in an incident in Harrogate.

A 27-year-old man suffered suspected stab wounds to his back and hand in the incident and is currently receiving treatment at Harrogate District Hospital. His injuries are not life threatening. He has been arrested in connection with the incident.

A 24-year-old man sustained an injury to his head in the incident and was treated at Hospital before being discharged. He is currently in police custody for questioning.

Another man, aged 27, is also in police custody after being arrested in connection with the incident.

Officers believe that the men were injured during an incident on Dragon Avenue sometime between 6pm and 7pm on Sunday 15 December 2013.

An area of Bower Road was also closed to allow for forensic investigation as part of the investigations.

Anyone who witnessed the incident or was in the Dragon Avenue area between 6pm and 7pm is urged to contact the police or Crimestoppers with information.
