Appeal – Harrogate footballers burgled while on the pitch

Harrogate police are appealing for information after mobile phones and a luxury watch were stolen from club changing rooms while football players were on the pitch.

During a football match on the night of Tuesday 1 October 2013, between 7.30pm and 9.30pm, offenders entered the clubhouse changing rooms at Harrogate Railway Football Club on Station View.

The suspects went through the pockets of the players’ clothing and took three mobiles phones and a Breitling watch.

Two of the phones have been recovered by police officers, but a black Samsung Galaxy S2 and the Breitling watch have not.

The watch is described as chronograph stainless steel with a blue face and three dials.

Acting Sergeant Tom Barker of Harrogate Safer Neighbourhood Team, said:

If you saw anyone acting suspiciously around Harrogate Railway Football Club at the time in question or you believe you have been offered any of the stolen items for sale, I urge you to please get in touch.
