Police search for stolen dancing hares

P1000006Harrogate police are appealing for information following the theft of a valuable sculpture near the town.

It was stolen from a garden of a house in Kirk Deighton, between 7pm on Friday 14 June and 9.30am on Saturday 15 June 2013.

The bronze sculpture is of two dancing hares and is one of a limited edition of thirteen. It is valued at around £25,000.

PC Charlie Ferguson, of Harrogate Safer Neighbourhood Team, said:

If you have seen the sculpture since the theft, I ask that you contact the police straight away.

I am particularly keen to speak to anyone who has been offered the item for purchase, such as art or scrap metal dealers, and ask that they get in touch.
