Police hunt Tadcaster arsonist

PoliceTadcaster police are appealing for information following an act of arson in the town.

It occurred at 12.30am on Saturday 18 August 2012, at Commercial Services Ltd, Station Road.

A white Ford Transit van is caught on CCTV parking next to a recovery vehicle. Someone gets out of the Transit which then a leaves a few minutes later when the recovery vehicle is seen to be on fire. As a result of the fire the vehicle, valued at around £30,000, was totally destroyed.

 

PC Richard Wood, of the local Safer Neighbourhood Team, said:

I would like to speak to anyone who can assist with identifying those responsible this act of arson and ask them to contact the police or Crimestoppers as soon as possible.
