Two St John Fisher Cricketers play for Yorkshire

St John Fisher Catholic High School students Luke Kilby and Dominic Tear, aged 12, are celebrating notable success on the cricket fieldthis summer.

Following recent trials in York, both boys have secured positions in the U12 North Yorkshire Cricket Team.

Luke, who will also captain the U12 Yorkshire team, is the first St John Fisher student to play for Yorkshire.

Luke said: 

It’s a real privilege to play for a team that represents the whole county, I captained a lot of the games for the U11s last season, but had to get through trials atHeadingly again this year. I was delighted to be given the Captaincy.

Luke and Dominic are serious about cricket and practice every day. Both play for the St John Fisher School Cricket Team, Dominic plays for Knaresborough Cricket Club and Luke also plays for Thorp Arch and Boston Spa (TABS).
