Harrogate chartered accountancy firm Saffery Champness has expanded its senior team with the creation of a new partner post, signalling expansion of its private client offering.

A qualified Chartered Tax Adviser and with nearly three decades of experience, Ms Thomas will be responsible for developing the private client side of the business across Yorkshire, working with individuals and trusts and assisting shareholders in business exit.

Martin Holden, head of office, said: Saffery Champness is renowned for excellence in the private client field and Sally’s in-depth expertise in this area along with her wealth of experience as a tax adviser, means she is well placed to take the lead on this side of the business.

Her promotion to partner positions us well for the future and her knowledge and experience will bring enormous benefits both to our team and our clients as we continue to grow.

Sally Thomas said: Since joining Saffery Champness three years ago I have been impressed by the expertise that exists within the private client team and I have found the firm’s partner-led approach to be both effective and rewarding.

I am very much looking forward to playing my part in supporting the firm’s growth in the Yorkshire region.
