Harrogate Town 2 – 3 Lincoln City

Harrogate TownA first half hat-trick from Lincoln’s Nick Wright saw The Imps into a comfortable 3-0 interval lead.

The match was barely underway before Sean Newton crossed into the box and Wright scored via the crossbar.

The second goal was created by Danny Rowe whose slide rule pass through the home defence was slotted home by Wright.

Wright completed his hat-trick on the half hour as he fired into an empty net.

Simon Weaver’s half time team talk inspired a strong Town fightback and Town were unlucky not to snatch a draw.

The first of Town’s two goals came when Craig Nelthorpe provided the cross for Chris Hall to head past Farman.

A great run by Liam Hardy set up Michael Woods who made it two.

Town’s third pre-season friendly takes place on Saturday the 20th of July,when Blackburn Rovers visit the CNG Stadium.
