YORKSHIRE & LANCASHIRE — Regional bus operator Transdev has announced a major strengthening of its leadership team across the North of England with the appointment of four professionals to key management and supervisory roles.
The strategic appointments reflect the company’s dual focus on attracting fresh outside talent while simultaneously promoting experienced personnel from within its own ranks to drive operational efficiency.
Key Appointments Across the Network
The four newly appointed leaders will oversee critical operations, engineering, and tourism sectors across the Yorkshire and Lancashire networks:
Dawn Thompson-Cullen steps into the role of Service Delivery Manager at the Harrogate Bus Company. Returning to the depot where they started as a driver in 2008, Thompson-Cullen is a recognised industry trailblazer, having previously served as the company’s first Relief Duty Manager and Duty Manager. They join from sister company FLYER.
Kat Ayre has been appointed as the new Operations Manager for Yorkshire Coastliner. Bringing 22 years of industry experience to the role, Ayre will oversee Coastliner services, manage vehicle fleets, and support over 170 colleagues across sites in York, Malton, and Idle.
Victoria Giannini joins the company as Tourism Manager at CitySightseeing York. Transitioning from a background as a Revenue Manager for a regional theme park, Giannini will lead open-top tour bus ticket sales and foster partnerships with local historic tourism businesses in the city centre.
Lucy Harris has stepped up to become the Supervisor of the entire Central Stores network. After three years serving as a superstar Store Keeper, Harris will now manage all storekeepers and van driving teams across Lancashire and Yorkshire, coordinating the vital mechanical parts logistics required to keep the regional fleet on the road.
Advancing Regional Transit Operations
The appointments represent a significant step forward for the operator as it balances workforce expertise with modern logistics and transport demands.
Transdev Head of People, Claire Swann said:
We’re delighted to welcome Kat and Victoria to our management team, while also seeing Dawn and Lucy step into more senior roles within the business.
These appointments reflect both our commitment to bringing in new talent and our focus on developing people from within.
By combining fresh perspectives with the experience of our existing teams, we are strengthening our leadership and the service we provide to the communities we operate in.
