Little Bird’s Richmond Artisan Market makes a return with mayoral visit

24 March 2026

The Richmond Artisan Market curated by Little Bird Made celebrated a vibrant return to the marketplace on Sunday, 22 March marking their first appearance of 2026 season.

The artisan market’s return was highlighted by a special visit from the Mayor Of Richmond, Cllr Carl Tate. The atmosphere was electric as local residents and visitors flocked to the stalls to support small Yorkshire businesses. Mayor Tate spent the morning exploring the market, and engaging in conversation with the artisan traders, and discussing the vital role local craftsmanship plays in the Richmond economy.

Jackie Crozier, Managing Director of Little Bird Made said:

We are absolutely delighted to be back in the heart of Richmond, since our last market here in September, and the energy from the local community today reminded us exactly why we love this town. It was a particular honour to welcome the Mayor, Cllr Carl Tate.

As someone who is passionate about the survival of our high streets and small businesses, we truly appreciate him taking the time to speak with our artisans. Having this level of civic support is invaluable and it shows our traders that their hard work is recognised and Richmond remains a premier destination for high-quality, handmade goods. We’ve had a fantastic start to the 2026 season and we can’t wait to welcome you all again in April.
