The Yorkshire division of national homebuilder, Bellway Homes says its new Lancaster Fold development on the outskirts of Boroughbridge will boost the local economy – creating at least a dozen new jobs during construction and bringing the income and local spending power of nearly 200 new homeowners into the North Yorkshire town.
Being built off Chapel Hill, Bellway’s Lancaster Fold will comprise 195 new homes and feature everything from one-bedroom semi-detached homes to five-bed detached properties. The mix of homes also includes terraces and bungalows, a mix that is aimed at providing widespread buyer appeal – from first time buyers to downsizers, young professionals to families.
Melanie Smith, Bellway Yorkshire’s sales director, said:
There’s always a lot of excitement in the build up to a new development, but here in Boroughbridge things are already gathering a great deal of momentum – and it’s easy to see why.
The wide cross section of house types alone would normally mean you’d get a steady flow of enquiries ahead of launch, but when you add in the location – which combines great transports links and a beautiful location – it’s fair to say that we’re heading for the biggest number of enquiries ahead of a launch that any of us can remember.
As part of its commitment to the local community, Bellway will be investing over £1million in early, primary and secondary education; nearly £1/2million in open space contributions; and £254,000 in local transport.
And the good news for the local economy doesn’t end there with Bellway saying it will create at least a dozen new jobs during construction.
Melanie said:
The positives of new housing developments aren’t always reported, but new housing always goes hand-in-hand with a big boost to the local economy.
As well as the money we’re investing in the community, the building of the new homes will create a significant number of new jobs, while the buyers will bring with them an influx of new spending power into Boroughbridge and its surrounding towns and villages.
The homes being built by Bellway will feature a mix of its traditional house types from its popular Artisan collection, which showcases the best in contemporary home design, while also celebrating the Artisan traditions at the heart of Bellway’s rich heritage.
And, as with all new Bellway homes, the new homes in Hoyland are built to first-rate specifications; including energy saving features such as solar PV panels, EV car chargers and Smart Thermostats that all help to cut the cost of running a new home.
Lancaster Fold will quickly become an important and much loved part of the Boroughbridge community and for those wanting to be part of it my advice is simple.
Register early so you can be among the first to hear all the big news – from initial launch to early bird prices and onto the incentives and buyer schemes that I’m sure will be introduced during the lifetime of the development.
Lancaster Fold is due to be launched in the Spring – with launch prices expected to be announced just a few days beforehand.
