Held during National Apprenticeship Week over five days from 8-12 February, a range of diverse and exciting apprenticeship employers and training providers will be showcased across a variety of sectors including, financial services, civil engineering, manufacturing, construction, leisure, beauty, hospitality and animal care. Amongst those employers set to feature will be Balfour Beatty, Leeds Manufacturing Festival and Network Rail’s Transpennine Route Upgrade , HSBC UK, West Yorkshire Police, Channel 4, KPMG and each of the three parts of the British Armed Forces; British Army, Royal Airforce and Royal Navy.

The event will include a mixture of pre-recorded video presentations from employers, and training providers and bookable live sessions where visitors will be able to interact with employers to find out more about their apprenticeship opportunities and ask lots of questions. Individual appointments for visitors to receive information, advice and guidance will also be available to book onto. Anyone wishing to find out more regarding any employer at the festival can also visit their own virtual exhibitor stand and if they wish, contact them directly with any questions they may have.

The Leeds Apprenticeship Festival is an opportunity not to be missed for young people, parents and carers, upskillers and career changers that are interested in finding out about a range of apprenticeship opportunities. Councillor Jonathan Pryor, Leeds City Council’s executive member for learning, skills and employment said:

Despite the continued challenges of coronavirus, we have worked incredibly hard to ensure that a variety of apprenticeship information and opportunities will be available from over 75 fantastic employers as part of this year’s virtual Leeds Apprenticeship Festival.

In this extremely difficult climate, we remain committed as a council and with partners to ensuring there continue to be meaningful apprenticeship opportunities for young people in our city and the wider region. The Leeds Apprenticeship Festival is enormously popular and we’ve put together a programme of events, presentations and live sessions that will offer something for everyone.

The Leeds Apprenticeship Hub, the organisers of Leeds Apprenticeship Festival 2021, would like to extend their thanks to all organisations taking part and headline exhibitors, Balfour Beatty, Leeds Manufacturing Festival and Northern Rail’s Transpennine Route Upgrade (TRU).
