will be illuminated with a wonderful video display as part of the Community Poppy Project.

It will be illuminated on 8th, 9th and 10th November 2018.

Cllr Stuart Martin said:

Hazel Barker and I wanted through Ripon Community Poppy Project to provide a fitting tribute to those individuals who paid the ultimate price.

In order to do something appropriate at the we had to think outside the box a little and this light show is what we came up with.

We would like to thank all our sponsors for their help and support in doing this.

  1. Brilliant light show at Ripon cathedral tonight. A fitting tribute. But as my Canadian friends and relatives were quick to point out, Wilfred Owen did not write the poem ‘ In Flanders Fields ‘ which was projected on the cathedral tonight. They were proud to tell me that a Canadian Lieutenant Colonel John McCrae did. Oooppps!!
