The Cold Bath Road Post Office in has changed hands.

Trevor and Susan Spurgeon, decided to sell the business in order to pursue retirement after six years in operation.

It’s not now under experienced local operator Asad Rafiq.

New owner Asad Rafiq plans to continue operating the post office, investing in the business and driving it forward:

We have had the honour of taking over such a thriving Post Office and becoming part of such an amazing community for many more years of excellent customer service.

We offer a wide range of post office services, which are now available 7 days a week (Monday-Saturday 7am-6pm Sunday 8am-2pm).

We have also introduced some new items in our shop such as ice creams and lollies, toys, e-cigs, sim cards, gift hampers and many more things to come your way soon.

Andrew Birnie, Director at Christie & Co handled the sale and addsed:

We were delighted to assist our clients in their plans to sell the post office and retire. We received a lot of interest and several offers and finally agreed a sale to a local, experienced retailer who is keen to introduce more stock and aims to make the future of the post office in this location a success. We wish our clients a long and happy retirement.
