In a surprise move, the Royal Wedding happened early when Meghan and Harry got a married in near today (18 May 2018).

Killinghall CE Primary hosted their very own Royal Wedding day and invited the parents. The children had a street party before the wedding ceremony itself. They then signed the wedding vowels and walked back down the aisle to a round of applause.  Finally it was time for the cake cutting!

Helen Potter, Chair of Governors said:

The parents love events like this and it helps to get the community involved with the school.

Extra things like this, that go above and beyond are the things that the children will really remember from the school and it also links into the curriculum.

It has bee really well supported by the parents, they haven’t just turned up, but they have come along with food and drinks, taking part in the party.
