The landmark unit which formerly hosted Rift & Co is set to reopen as The & Gardens after a more than £1.1million refurb.

Concept bar specialists Ormsborough Ltd were given consent to transform the site in Montpellier Gardens to add to their sites in Bingley, Beverley, Guiseley & Northallerton. It will become a garden-themed specialising in craft beers, cocktails, artisan spirits, and freshly homemade food.

They promise to bring a family-friendly bar with a distinctive, quirky outdoors design boasting a row of trademark brightly-coloured wooden sheds complete with private bench seating, plus some beautiful hanging baskets and an indoor lawned area.

The project is being backed by major industry investor Downing LLP who have already invested over £3million into the business.

Jade Renner, Director said they’re delighted to be able to secure this location and they’re excited to show the people of Harrogate what they have planned:

We take a lot of care in finding all of our sites and this landmark building fits perfectly with our brand and gives us a great opportunity.

Our bars are different, they’re fun, they welcome families and are even dog friendly! So we are confident everyone will come and experience that for themselves once we open our doors.

The Potting Shed Bar & Gardens are set to open on Friday 25 May 2018 from midday.
