A team of stylists from a Harrogate hairdressing salon have been rubbing shoulders with some of the world’s leading designers, models and fashion houses at London Fashion Week.
Three hairdressers from Joseph Ferraro Hair, based in Leeds Road and Cheltenham Crescent, Harrogate, were called on by leading salon brand Sebastian Professional to style models for one of London Fashion Week’s catwalk shows.
Joseph Ferraro, who has worked alongside a number of high-profile designers at London Fashion Week including Henry Holland, Paul Smith and Jasper Conran, was delighted his team was asked to be involved at the world-famous event.
Joseph said: This was a tremendous experience, and a great honour, for these three talented stylists from my two Harrogate salons.
I love to see my team grow professionally, and develop their skills, and working on such an internationally-renowned and high profile event such as London Fashion Week inspires both their own creativity and nurtures their passion for hairdressing.
Working in such a high-pressure environment, and helping translate a designers’ vision to a model’s hair is fantastic experience for them.
Elaine Sneddon, Rita Tuska and Marzena Serafin, who are based at Joseph Ferraro’s Leeds Road and Cheltenham Crescent salons, worked with a team of up-and-coming designers on a catwalk show at London’s International Wella Studios Theatre – one of dozens of venues across the capital set up to host runway events as part of London Fashion Week.
Elaine, who has been working at Joseph Ferraro Hair for the past three years, said all three of them had learned so much from London Fashion Week.
Elaine said: Working alongside Joseph, who is the current North Eastern Hairdresser of the Year, has opened up so many new and exciting opportunities for us. To be involved with London Fashion Week has been inspiring and great experience – we have come back to the two Harrogate salons bursting with new ideas to pass onto our clients.
