the theft of handbags from the Viper Rooms nightclub in the town.

The bags were left unattended and between 12.15am and 2.15am on Sunday 16 October they were taken by thieves.

All personal items were removed from one handbag, including a blue Smythsons purse, a long black stole, an iPhone in a green case, various cards and a photograph with sentimental value. Another handbag, a dark brown Louis Vuitton bag with a leather strap and a chequered square pattern, was also taken.
