North Yorkshire Police and Crime Commissioner stage 1 results, but counting continues

Votes are still being counted for the North Yorkshire and Commissioner.

The stage 1 results for are:

BLANCHARD, James Christopher (Libdem)  – 4403
HOWLEY, Stephen () – 5113
MULLIGAN, Julia Rosemary (Conservative) – 15061
PANNETT, Mike  (Independent)- 5515

Total number of first preference votes counted   – 30092

The aggregate count for North Yorkshire has taken place:

BLANCHARD , James, Christopher (Libdem) – 13,856
MULLIGAN, Julia Rosemary  (Conservative)   – 53,078
HOWLEY, Stephen (Labour) – 34,351
PANNETT, Mike (Independent)  – 30,984

Turnout of 22.47%

As no candidate has received more than half the valid first preference votes, every local returning officer is now counting the second preference votes for the candidates who are not eliminated from the contest, Julia Mulligan and Stephen Howley.
