The Harrogate Serious Crime Team have charged a man in connection with the serious assault that took place in Ripon over the weekend.
A 22 year old man from Ripon has been charged with grievous bodily harm and appeared at Harrogate Magistrates Court this morning.
The victim, an 18 year old man form Ripon, remains in a critical condition in hospital.
Anyone who witnessed the incident on Quarry Moor Lane, now known to have taken place in the early hours of Sunday 11 October 2015 , is urged to contact the police.
