Harrogate motorcyclist dies in Sutton Bank collision

A Harrogate man has died following a road traffic collision near Sutton Bank.

Police were called at around 10am today (Thursday 30 July 2015) to around one mile from the top of Sutton Bank near Thirsk.

The man, in his 60’s, was riding a  Triumph motorcycle which had collided with a white Volkswagen Sirocco at Scawton.

He was travelling in the company of two other motorcycles at the time the collision occurred.

Officers are appealing to anyone who witnessed the collision or saw any of the vehicles prior to the incident to contact them with information.

Anyone who can help the investigation is urged to contact North Yorkshire Police on 101 – select option 2 – and ask for Traffic Constable Martin Hayes.
