A 72-year-old remains in hospital following an incident on Parliament street in Harrogate.

The 72-year-old man had been asked to leave the Beer and Burger venue by staff. On exiting the building he suffered head injuries on the street outside – 5:40pm on 11 June 2015.

Police are investigating the circumstances around the incident and are looking at CCTV footage, talking to witnesses and to a 24-year-old who was involved in removing the man from the premises.

The 24-year-old has been bailed until the 9 July 2015 as investigations continue.

Witnesses are asked to call North Yorkshire Police on 101, select option 1, and speak to the Force Control Room.
