18 May 2015

Four solicitors at McCormicks of Harrogate have been promoted to Senior Associate.

Head of Commercial Litigation Philip Edmondson, Head of Family Stephen Hopwood, Head of Private Client Elaine Lightfoot, and Crime, Fraud and Regulatory expert Peter Minnikin all make the step up.

Senior Partner Peter McCormick said: “McCormicks has long been known for punching above its weight and it is our team that enables us to achieve this. As a firm we have a very strong belief in rewarding excellence and, following another year of record recommendations in the leading guides to the legal profession, it is only right that we should reward these four outstanding individuals.”

He said Philip Edmondson had shown excellent commitment and produced quality work, winning the confidence and respect of some of the firm’s most significant clients; Stephen Hopwood had developed the Family/Matrimonial offering, building a high quality Family practice; Elaine had taken over as Head of a Private Client, developing it into a productive, caring and successful department; and Peter Minnikin had displayed an extremely mature approach to his work and had gained the respect of clients, Counsel and other solicitors.

The four join Head of Corporate and Commercial Lewis Goodwin, and Head of Commercial Property Heather Roberts, as Senior Associates.
