UKIP MEP to speak at Harrogate & Knaresborough Branch Meeting

23 October 2014

UKIP MEP Steven Woolfe is the guest speaker at the party’s Harrogate & Knaresborough branch meeting this coming Monday. (27 October 2014).

Mr Woolfe, who is migration and financial affairs spokesman, will be sharing the Old Swan Hotel platform with local Prospective Parliamentary Candidate (PPC) County Councillor David Simister, and branch chairman Alan Henderson.

Coun Simister, who represents Bilton and Nidd Gorge on North Yorkshire County Council, said: We are very much looking forward to welcoming Steven to our meeting and to hearing his views on the subject of migration generally.

Mr Cameron’s claim that he can bring down immigration to ‘tens of thousands’ a year is simply untrue whilst we remain in the European Union.

Alan Henderson said: Being of mixed-race, Steven is well placed to speak on the subject of racism and migration and to outline how we aim to curb the number of migrants entering the UK annually.

Unlike other political gatherings our meetings are held in public and we look forward to welcoming members and non-members alike to attend.

David will be updating the meeting on the local political scene and I’ll be speaking about next year’s general and local elections.

The meeting is being held at 7pm (for 7.15pm) at Harrogate’s Old Swan Hotel.
