Detectives in Harrogate are appealing for a vital witness to come forward following a sneak-in burglary in the town.
It occurred between 9.30am and 2.30pm on Sunday 22 June 2014, at a house on Hookstone Chase.
The thieves stole around £100 in cash and dress jewellery.
Sometime between 9.30am and 10am, the same day, a woman who said she was a door to door salesperson, spoke to the householder for a short time.
She is described as being white, aged in her late twenties or early thirties and having a large build. She was wearing white leggings and vest top, and was carrying a clipboard.
Detective Constable Dan Ridgeway, of Harrogate CID, said: If you were the woman who was in the Hookstone Chase area around the time of the burglary, I urge you to come forward and contact the police as you may have vital information which could help my enquiries.
I am also keen to speak to anyone who may have also been approached by this woman, and ask them to get in touch.
