Fire Service were called at 05:06 hours on 9 June 14 to a fire at a Thirsk Industrial Park.

The fire was at the Todd Waste Management Recycling site, a site that was subject to a fire in May 2011.

Initially three 5 engines were mobilised which then progressed to 8 along with a high volume pumping (HVP) appliance from Harrogate.

A industrial unit, measuring 20 metres by 30 metres, containing household rubbish was well alight.

By 17:30 the incident had been scaled down to 3 fire engines, 1 ladder platform and the incident command unit with crews damping down using main jets – they expected to remain at the incident until the morning.
