Police at scene of serious road traffic collision near York

Emergency services are currently at the scene of a serious road traffic in Strensall, near .

The collision involving a tanker and a car occurred at around 9.10am on Thursday 15 August 2013 on Sheriff Hutton Road.

The road is closed and is not accessible from Strensall or Sheriff Hutton.

Anyone who witnessed the collision is urged to contact North Yorkshire on 101 – select option 1 – and pass information to the Force Control Room. Please quote reference number -15082013-0120 when passing information about this incident.
