St Aidan’s in Harrogate has been awarded GREEN FLAG status by the Keep Britain Tidy organisation which will continue through until 2015.

The status was awarded after a thorough inspection of the school by an assessor from Eco Schools/Keep Britain Tidy on 8th May 2013.

The assessors comments were that, ‘The Eco Committee showed maturity and insight whilst developing confidence, assertiveness and self-esteem. This was a really enjoyable visit with the whole school approach to the fore-pupils, staff and governors should be commended.’

Many congratulations to the members of the Eco-Committee and in particular Sharon Monaghan for all her efforts in relation to this aspect of school life.
