Harrogate Railway 2

The away side started the better of the 2 sides as Harrogate Railway Football Club struggled to get into the game.

Sam Dobbs the home keeper came to the rescue on a couple of occassions as Curzon pressed forward for an opening goal. Rails first effort came from Alex Hallam as his long range shot was blocked by the keepers legs. Curzon were unlucky midway through the first half as Matthew Purcells shot hit the post.

Rail could have taken as suprise lead 10 minutes before the interval as Liam Hardy latched onto a cross from Colin Hunter and with virtually an open goal mishit his shot back across goal.

Minutes into the 2nd half a Colin Hunter freekick was well saved by Josh Ollerenshaw. Curzon pressed forward again and were awarded a penaly just over the hour mark. Up stepped the leagues leading scorer Kristian Dennis but his spot kick was well saved by Dobbs down to his left. The keeper was unlucky as the rebound was followed up by the same player and he made no mistake from close in.
