Man’s body recovered from the River Ouse in York

PolicePolice in York were called to the River Ouse near Millennium Bridge at 3.15pm on Saturday 19 January 2013 after a member of the public reported seeing a body in the river.

Officers attended the scene and with assistance from North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service, the body of a man was recovered from the river.

Police have said it is too early to confirm the identify of the deceased or give any further information and an update will be provided when they are able.
