Harrogate police looking to trace man over historic thefts

6 December 2012

Harrogate police have released an image of a man suspected of stealing money from his ex-girlfriend.

Following a review of historic cases, officers have resumed their search for Paul James Dilloway who is alleged to have stolen £325 from his then girlfriend when they were living together in Harrogate in 2005.

Officers have carried out extensive searches to trace Dilloway, who is aged 32, yet he has still not been located.

Checks have been made at properties in Harrogate, Bedfordshire, Bristol, Weymouth and Newport.

Police are appealing to anyone who recognises Dilloway and knows where he is to contact them with information.

PC Martin Ruddock, of Harrogate police, said:

It is important that we trace Dilloway as he is suspected of committing an offence and has questions to answer.

He could be anywhere in the country and I am appealing to people to take a look at his picture and let the police or Crimestoppers know if they see him.

Anyone who can help officers with their enquiries is urged to contact North Yorkshire Police on 101 – select option 2 – and ask for Martin Ruddock or Harrogate police.

If you wish to remain anonymous, Crimestoppers can be contacted anonymously on 0800 555 111.
