A new games pavilion has been formally opened in the children’s play area of Valley Gardens.

Deputy Mayor, Councillor Ian Galloway performed a ribbon cutting on 1 August 2012.

The facility cost £150,000 and will provide toilet and kiosk facilities selling drinks and ice creams. It will also provide additional security to the area with the additional staff presence.

Opening times will vary throughout the year, but during the Summer months be open until 8:30pm.

This, for many, will be a very welcome addition to the park.
