Mobile Speed VanNorth Yorkshire Police’s mobile safety camera has recorded a biker doing 116mph in a 60mph zone.

A 34-year-old man is due to appear at Selby Magistrates’ Court after being caught riding a blue Suzuki motorcycle at the highest speed so far recorded by North Yorkshire Police’s mobile safety camera.

He was caught at 9.13am on 31 October 2011, on the A1237 near Huntington, York and has been summonsed to court to appear at 10am on Thursday 1 December 2011.
