Wolseley staff are in the pink

Staff and visitors at Ripon employer Wolseley UK wore a variety of pink garments last Friday to support the national breast cancer research campaign known as Wear It Pink.

They abandoned normal formal work wear for various shades of pink from plum to magenta whilst making a donation of £2 each to the Wear it Pink Charity.

Jez Hamspon, Head of Central Finance, said:

We’re always happy to support charity fundraising days wherever we can and the Wear It Pink Day is growing in popularity throughout our offices. Some only swap their normal tie and socks for pink and others go full out in fuchsia!

As well as dressing in pink for the day, staff also baked and sold pink buns for the charity. £700 – including Gift Aid donations – was raised in just one day.

The company’s next fund raising day will be for Children In Need on 18th November where staff could be wearing anything from cowboy outfits to pyjamas!
