Harrogate Railway football club is to sell just under an acre of its 9 acre site in Starbeck to Vida Healthcare for the build of a specialist dementia care facility.
The sell-off will generate much-needed finances to transform the Club’s ground to include a new club house, 4 3G (3rd generation) five-a-side football pitches and a junior football pitch.
The state-of-the art facilities will also enable the seventy-year old club to generate new income streams to secure its long-term future.
The deal between one of Yorkshire’s oldest football clubs and a local property and healthcare group has the go ahead in a move which will create over 70 new jobs for Harrogate and see the creation of a national centre of excellence for dementia care in the town.
Today heralded the start of the build with the laying of foundations at the new £5 million, 71 bed specialist dementia facility, to be known as Vida Hall, which opens next autumn.
How do we tender for these works?? Is it the council, a main contractor or architect who is dealing with the project.
