Knaresborough’s FEVA Festival continues with African Drums, Town Criers and more

14 August 2011

FEVA is Knaresborough’s annual Festival of Entertainment and Visual Arts. Every summer, for ten days a year, the town stages an array of shows and events. This year it runs from 12th-21st August 2011.

Drums agogo entertained the crowds in Knaresborough Square today (14th August 2011) with African drums. The group of 12 was led by Alison Lyons who also teaches drumming at www.drumsagogo.co.uk on Wednesday and Thursday evenings in Harrogate.

Drumsagogo gave an energetic performance with most people tapping their feet and some evening joining in to dance.

Town Criers from various locations including Chester le Street, Huddersfield and Knaresborough got together for a competition and were challenged to cry about what they liked about Knaresborough.

Elsewhere in the Town there was a Scarecrow trail and too many art and music events to mention them all here!
