The Year 9 and 10 Boys Athletics Team from St John Fisher Catholic High progressed through a number of regional competitions to take part in the Schools Athletics National Finals in Abingdon on 9 July.

Aidan Pass, Head of PE at St John Fisher, says, “This is a real achievement for the school and the boys. It’s the first time we have ever had a boys’ team reach the national finals, and this year, we were representing to compete against 23 other teams, mostly from public schools in the South of England.”

“The standard was exceptionally high, and although we didn’t win, the fact that we got through to National level showed we have a very strong team, possibly one of the strongest school teams in Yorkshire. Well done boys.”
