Man and boy charged in connection with injured Woman found – Woodsome Road, Fenay Bridge, Huddersfield

A man and a boy are due to appear before the courts tomorrow in connection with the attempted murder and kidnap of a woman in Huddersfield.

A 25-year-old man and a 17-year-old boy from Huddersfield have been charged with attempted murder and kidnap.

The 25-year-old man has also been charged with possession of a weapon for discharge of electrical incapacitant.

Both have been remanded in police custody to appear before Huddersfield Magistrates Court on Tuesday 31st May.

At 00.08am on Sunday 29th May officers received a call for concern from a motorist who found a 27-year-old woman in a dishevelled state near to the Woodsome Hall Golf Club, Fenay Bridge and tonight detectives are continuing their appeal for information.

They would particularly like to speak to anyone who was driving along Woodsome Road after 11pm on Saturday and just after midnight, as it is believed that a number of cars passed the woman but failed to stop.

They would also like to speak to anyone who may have seen a Vauxhall Astra near to the golf club that same night.

A man aged 49-years and a woman aged 46-years-old, who were also arrested in connection with this investigation, have been released on police bail pending further enquiries.
