Halifax Building society searched following Bomb warning

A member of staff from the branch of the Halifax Building Society, yesterday, received an anonymous call stating that explosives had been placed in the building.

The staff were evacuated and and the attended at 12.55pm and conducted a search of the building lasting most of the afternoon.

No explosive device was found in the Branch on Oxford Street.
