A Harrogate Hospital Radio presenter will be defending her national “crown” at an awards ceremony this weekend. (Saturday, March 23)
For the second year running Ellie Jackson, from Pateley Bridge, has been shortlisted in the Best Female Presenter category in this year’s Hospital Broadcasting Association awards.
In addition to Ellie’s nomination, fellow presenter Dan Burton has been nominated in the Best Newcomer category, while Scott Wall and Shaun Gill are shortlisted in the Special Event category for a live outside broadcast from Harrogate’s Victoria Shopping Centre.
Harrogate Hospital Radio Chairman Ian Wighton said:
We are delighted for Ellie being nominated for a second year running and our fingers are firmly crossed that she can hold on to her title.
Ellie is a superb asset to the radio station and a great role model for new presenters. We are also thrilled for Dan, Scott and Shaun and wish them every success.
I am incredibly proud of all four presenters to have been nominated for these prestigious radio awards. Being short listed is a testament to their high level of work.
The awards ceremony is being held on Saturday night at the Hilton Hotel in Blackpool.
