Police were called to an address in Kings Road, Harrogate, at around 10.30pm on Thursday 8 March following a call for concern for safety.
The road was temporarily closed and incident saw the police tactical response team deal with the matter.
A 43 year old man was arrested at the scene on suspicion of threats to kill.
He remains in police custody for police questioning.
