Rudding Park gets fired up for charity

26 October 2015

Rudding Park is taking part in the ‘You’re Inspired’ Challenge this October to raise funds for Saint Michael’s Hospice, Harrogate.

Members of the Rudding Park team are holding a Log Splitting Marathon from 7am on Wednesday 28 October where they will be splitting seasoned logs by hand for 12 hours non stop.

Bags of logs will be available for a £5 donation, all of which will go to Saint Michael’s Hospice.

Peter Banks Managing Director at Rudding Park said:

Rudding Park is a member of the Saint Michael’s Guild of Patrons so we were keen to get involved and help raise money for such a worthwhile cause. It’s the perfect time of year for a log splitting marathon.

We are all fired up and hope guests and local residents will come along and pick up some seasoned logs to support the charity.

Bags will be available from the Hotel or Golf Clubhouse or it is possible pre-order bags at www.justgiving.com/ruddingparklogsale

In addition to the Log Splitting Marathon it is also possible to take part in ‘Rudding Park Raffles Yorkshire’, a collection of ten raffle prizes based on a Rudding Park experience with  an additional Yorkshire twist.

Raffle tickets are available for a £10 donation, all of which goes to the Hospice and can be purchased through Just Giving www.justgiving.com/ruddingparkrafflesyorkshire or in person at the Hotel or Golf Reception.

Saint Michael’s Hospice run ‘You’re inspired’ each year and organisations across the district
are challenged to grow a £100 loan by as much as is legally and ethically possible. The winning team is the one who raises the most money and this will be announced on Wednesday 11 November.
