Local consultancy gap year student finalist in engineering development trust awards

Geoenvironmental consultancy CGL has announced that Sam Longfield as a finalist against five other gap year students in the Engineering Development Trust’s ‘Contribution to Industry Awards’ in the ‘Year in Industry – North Region’ category.

Sam has been based in CGL’s Harrogate office working alongside the engineers with site inspections, research, proposals and reports.

Richard Pennock, Regional Director of CGL said:

At CGL we are committed to staff development and training for everyone, from work experience, apprenticeships to our full time staff. Over the last year Sam has been nurtured through our programme and become a valued member of our team.

 

Sam Longfield said:

A year placement at a business with regional offices and at the forefront of its industry, with a focused Continued Professional Development programme, has been a great foundation for starting my studies in Geology this September.
