Red Triumph motorcycle stolen from Boroughbridge area

14 November 2014

Police in Boroughbridge are investigating the theft of a red Triumph 1050 Sprint ST motorcycle, registration number YJ07 UWU.
It was taken from the rear car park of Lister’s Farm Shop on Leeming Lane at Langthorpe between 2pm and 3.30pm on Wednesday 5 November 2014.

At around the time of the theft, an unknown man briefly entered the shop to enquire if any tarmac work was required.

The man is described as white, of medium build, around 5ft 5in tall, with swept-back dark hair which is receding. He was wearing a fluorescent waist coat and work wear.

A white Ford Transit van, which was dirty and in poor condition, was also seen leaving the shop car park at around the same time. The registration number is unknown but it is believed to be the shape made in around 2004 and it had a patch of rust on the top right above the rear doors.

PC Neil Roworth, of Boroughbridge police, said: From our enquiries into the incident, it is suspected that the motorcycle was lifted into the van and driven away. Someone out there knows who was responsible for the theft and I am appealing for people to come forward with any information that could help to recover the motorcycle or identify the suspects.
