Pedestrian in hospital following Harrogate town centre collision

At 11.45pm on Saturday 27 September 2025, the emergency services received a report of a collision between a car and a pedestrian on Parliament Street in Harrogate.

The pedestrian involved remains in hospital with serious injuries, however, they are not currently believed to be life-threatening or life-changing.

The driver of the car, a man in his 40s, voluntarily attended custody and has been released under investigation whilst our enquiries continue.

The road was closed and venues asked to keep people inside, while police dealt with the incident.
