Bumper weekend expected as Tractor Fest returns to Newby Hall

1 June 2026

Tractor Fest returns to Newby Hall and Gardens this weekend as the much‑loved event marks its 20th anniversary — and organisers are gearing up for one of the biggest shows yet.

  • Ripon – Saturday 6 and Sunday 7 June 2026

Set in 120 acres of parkland near Ripon, the festival will once again transform the Newby estate into the UK’s largest gathering of vintage and modern tractors, stationary engines, commercial vehicles, cars, lorries and motorcycles. Around 3,000 exhibits are expected to take part, drawing enthusiasts and families from across the region and beyond.

Organised by the Yorkshire Vintage Association (YVA), this year’s event shines a spotlight on Scottish engineering, historic motor rollers and the iconic Czech Zetor tractor marque.

Show highlights include:

  • An RAF Battle of Britain Memorial Flight flypast on both days of the show (weather permitting). Timings are 1.15 on Saturday (either a Spitfire or a Hurricane) and 3.15pm on Sunday (a Dakota). The BBMF commemorates all those who have lost their lives serving in the RAF. It maintains historic aircraft including five Spitfires, two Hurricanes, a Lancaster, a C47 Dakota, and two Chipmunk aircraft for training.
  • A rare mid‑1950s Massey‑Harris 744D rescued from Australia and fully restored
  • A showcase of road and sports‑ground rollers including one of three surviving 1932
  • 14‑tonne Aveling & Porter rollers and the first public appearance of a 1944 Wallis & Steevens roller

  • The Emmerdale Zetor tractor, leading a celebration of the marque’s 80th anniversary
A restored Ruston & Hornsby 1HR engine once owned by one of Tractor Fest’s founders
  • Working demonstrations including vintage cultivation, logging and baling
Displays from specialist marque clubs from across the UK

YVA chair Kevin Watson said:

We’re thrilled to be celebrating 20 years of Tractor Fest and the enthusiasm just keeps growing. Last year’s event was our biggest yet, and with even more exhibits confirmed for 2026, we’re aiming to raise the bar again.

We’re grateful for the support of exhibitors, visitors and our sponsors — Cheffins, Econ Engineering, PV Brockhills of Yorkshire, Friends of Ferguson Heritage, Old Oil & Gas Engine Magazine and Vintage Engine Enthusiast which is sponsoring the engine section— who help make Tractor Fest such a standout family weekend.

More than 15,000 visitors are expected over the two days, with entertainment, crafts, food and drink available throughout the show. Admission also includes access to Newby Hall’s award‑winning gardens, adventure playground, dolls’ house and teddy bear exhibitions.
